Concord Road Elementary - Instructional Technology
CRS Network
We are in the process of moving from the Mac platform to the PC platform. The first phase of this conversion was in the 2004-2005 school year. All teachers, including specials, received a Dell computer and the fourth grade classrooms received a cluster of 4 Dell computers and a networked Xerox laser printer. This year, the third grade classrooms received 4 Dell computers and a networked Xerox laser printer. The following year, the second grade classrooms will receive their cluster of 4 Dell computers.
The building also consists of:
- Kindergarten - 1-2 iMacs, 1 teacher Dell and a printer. A networked Xerox laser printer is available in the book room.
- First Grade - 1-2 iMacs, 1 teacher Dell and a printer. A networked Xerox laser printer is available in the book room.
- Second Grade - 4 iMacs, 1 teacher Dell and a networked HP deskjet.
- Science - 1-4 iMacs, 1 teacher Dell and a networked HP deskjet.
- Expanded Pass - 1 iMac, 1 teacher Dell and a printer.

SMARTboards
What is a SMARTboard? A SMARTboard is an interactive whiteboard that is connected to a computer and a projector. Once the computer image is projected on the board, the SMARTboard can be used as a computer. By using your finger or SMARTboard pens, you control the computer just like a mouse would. There are six SMARTboards in Concord Road:
- Fourth Grade - Ms. Marten (2004)
- Third Grade - Ms. Chapnick (2004)
- Second Grade - Ms. Friedman (2005)
- First Grade - Ms. Fraszka (2005)
- LMC - (2004)
- Technology Learning Center (2003)
