Our
online resources are designed to provide our students and teachers
with useful and easy to access resources and materials for in class
and home use. Many of these are available directly from our homepage.
Library
Resources - Posted on the library website for Concord Road are
various pre-selected reference and resource materials appropriate
for our students. Included are such wonderful resources as World
Book Online ~ based on the traditional World Book Encyclopedia,
World Book Online features thousands of articles, maps, pictures,
sounds, and video clips ~ Enclyclopedia Britannica ~ providing teachers
and students instant access to three complete encyclopedias that
ensure consistency with classroom topics and age-appropriate language.
This unique database also offers high-quality online learning materials
that are developed by teachers and curriculum experts. Designed
for all levels of learning, Britannica Online School Edition offers
students a gateway to the vast resources of Encyclopedia Britannica.
EBoards
- Teacher postings of relevant materials and information for in
school and home use for students and parents. Boards are initally
organized by grade level, then further organized to assist you in
retrieving information.
Teacher
Websites - Teacher created websites designed to supplement and
extend student engagement in learning. These sites are designed
for students and their families to enjoy and use by our teachers.
New for our school, this is an exciting area of development for
both our teachers and our students.
Gale
Group Databases - This is a collection of three major databases:
Health Reference Center Academic - Health related topics
Business and Company Resource Center - Business news and company
profiles
Junior Edition - K12 - Periodical and magazine database designed
for students in middle school.
EBSCO
provides online access to more than 250,000 journals, serving more
than 50,000 libraries worldwide.
WEB
FEET is a research tool designed to help you save time and find
the best resources available on the Internet. It is not a search
engine, but rather collections of pre selected sites reviewed by
librarians, educators, subject-area specialists, and editors.
